Must Stay Cancun Resorts

Last month, I had the opportunity to visit 16 different All-Inclusive Resorts with Hyatt Inclusive Collection in Cancun! It was an amazing trip and I am so grateful for the experience. Cancun is such a great destination to visit for many reasons. The quick and affordable flights from so many U.S. cities make Cancun easy to get to. The beautiful beaches and turquoise water make Cancun a must-see location! Whether you’re hoping to relax on the beach, snorkel the second largest barrier reef in the world, explore the Mayan Ruins in Tulum, or immerse yourself in the beautiful Mexican culture, Cancun is the perfect destination!

Let’s recap my favorite resorts:

Adult Only Resorts

• Favorite Luxury Resort: Secrets & Impression Moxché Playa del Carmen – These beautiful resorts are less than 2 years old and you can tell every single detail was hand-picked and executed. From the lagoon at the center of the resort to the seven pools and three cenotes, you will truly feel like you’ve been transported to paradise. I highly recommend the highest level of service at Impression Moxché with Butler Service or Preferred Club at Secrets Moxché to experience the rooftop Preferred Club Lounge & Pool! Whether you’re a couple, group of friends, or even planning a destination wedding, this resort is perfect for everyone!

• Favorite Relaxing Resort (with the BEST beach): Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun – I sent honeymooners to Maroma Beach a couple years ago and I was so excited to see the resort myself after hearing how much my clients loved it! This was another stunning resort and while the beach was technically “semi-private”, the resort was more secluded from other nearby resorts so it truly felt like a private beach.

• Favorite Resort for Couples: Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya – The moment we walked in at Secrets Akumal, you could just feel the romance and relaxation vibe! And how could I forget to mention you can snorkel to see the world’s second largest barrier reef from the beach!? This resort is truly breathtaking and would make for an amazing vacation!

• Favorite “Chill” Resort: Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya – This was the first resort we checked in to and it was such a fun resort to start the trip to Cancun at! If you’re looking for the perfect resort for all occasions, this is it! Couples, groups, weddings, girls’ trip, bachelor/bachelorette parties, all of the above! Hyatt Zilara is a smaller resort but their service is still top-notch!

Family Friendly Resorts

• Favorite All-Around Family Friendly Resort: Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa – Dreams Sapphire truly was so beautiful and I would recommend it to all types of clients (even adults looking for an amazing resort!) Even though all ages can stay at Sapphire, it never felt like there were too many kids running around or taking over the pool like you’d except when you think of a family resort. The new Preferred Club Section – Indigo is another top-notch choice! They just opened villas that can sleep 8 as well so a multi-generational family could be perfect here! Dreams Sapphire had an amazing Kids Club, Teen Club (Core Zone), splash pad, waterslides, and huge beach as well – your kids will love it!

• Favorite Resort for the Active Family: Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya – Dreams Aventuras offered something I didn’t see at the other resorts I visited. All of the all-inclusive resorts in Cancun were part of gated communities, but the difference with Dreams Aventuras is the resort was inside of a marina village, entirely gated. You can feel safe leaving the resort to explore other restaurants, bars, and activities while also getting to explore the local culture and people! They also had everything you need inside of the resort but it’s fun to venture out and get new experiences!
