Disney’s new Lightning Lane System can seem a bit daunting at first, but with a little guidance, you’ll be navigating these services like a pro! Here are my top 5 tips to help you make the most of your Disney experience!

1. Plan Ahead

Before your trip, familiarize yourself with the Lightning Lane System. Know which attractions are available and prioritize the ones you don’t want to miss! This will help you make quick decisions when booking your selections!

2. Start Early

If you are staying at a Disney Resort, you can make your Pre-Arrival Selections 7 days before check-in for your entire stay. If you aren’t staying at a Disney Resort, you can make your Pre-Arrival Selections 3 days before your ticket start date. The booking window will open at 7 a.m. on the My Disney Experience App! Set an alarm and be ready to book your first Lightning Lane selection as soon as it opens!! Popular attractions like Rise of the Resistance and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train fill up fast, so securing your spot early is crucial!!!

3. Stack Your Selections

Choosing your first 3 Lightning Lane attractions allows you to go into your park day knowing your top 3 attractions and exactly what time you’ll be able to ride the attractions! As soon as you’re in the park and scan in to your first Lightning Lane, head back to the app to choose another! You’ll continue this all day. Scan in, choose another!

4. Use the Tip Board

The Disney Lightning Lane Service includes a Tip Board that provides real-time updates on wait times and attraction availability! Use this feature to adjust your plans on the fly and make the most of your day in the parks! You can always modify your Lightning Lane selections if you need to make changes.

5. Don’t Forget the Freebies

While Lightning Lane Passes offer great convenience, don’t forget about the free Disney Genie service! It provides personalized recommendations and tips to help you navigate the parks efficiently without any additional cost!!
